Without Further Ado.. … .

One of the most precious resources known to man, is time. Ironically, people are always waiting for the perfect time to take action. I’m personally guilty of this so don’t come for me *Sips Tea*. Since we’re being transparent I’ll shed light on my brief hiatus.

Here goes. .. .

At the beginning of my endeavors, I would reach out to artists in hopes of being able to interview them for my blog. You would think this would be easy since everyone knows someone that makes music, but that wasn’t the case. While it was easy finding quality music worthy of promoting, many of those artist had an “I’m On” mentality and found no value in free promotion.

After realizing that maybe my plan to support independent talent was failing, I truly considered throwing in the towel. I’ll admit, I became a bit discouraged and  It was hard to understand why artists didn’t value even one new listener. Sharing these exact sentiments with a friend, she recommended an artist by the name of Uni-G. Doing a bit of research I found out that he would be performing live, headlining at the MajorStage showcase in Brooklyn, NY.

The day of the performance everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Nonetheless, I still made it to the show, and surprisingly with time to spare. The energy changed as Uni-G took the stage. It was evident that while you can “Catch A Vibe” to his music; he also has songs that are influential enough to have you asking yourself “Who Am I?”. At least, that’s the effect it had on me.

Delivering the perfect message, at the perfect time, Uni-G had no idea that he encouraged me not to quit. There’s too much independent talent that needs to be written about. No longer being held captive by fear, I hit ’em with the “Swerve” as “I Fly” to my highest heights. Without further ado, it’s time I share my experience with you.
